Winston-Salem, N.C. - Wake Forest's Annie Bersagel was named the ACC Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week on Monday.

Bersagel finished second with a time of 20:16 at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind., this past weekend. The senior from Greeley, Colo., paced her team to a fifth place finish among the 34 teams that participated, eleven of which were ranked.

Bersagel becomes the third Demon Deacon to earn weekly honors from the conference. Freshman Nicole Schappert and senior Erin Franklin also were named performers of the week on Sept. 5 and Sept. 19, respectively.

Bersagel and the Deacons will compete next at the ACC Championships in Tallahassee, Fla., on Oct. 31. For the latest information on Wake Forest cross country, visit WakeForestSports.com.
