Winston-Salem, N.C. - Wake Forest senior Erin Franklin was named the ACC Performer of the Week in women's cross country on Monday. The North Wales, Pa., native placed first individually at the Raleigh Invitational over the weekend to lead the Deacons to the team title.

Franklin ran a total time of 17:46 in the 5k race to win individually. Overall, the Deacons placed the top three runners, Franklin, Hanna Bremler and Allie Kieffer.

Freshman Nicole Schappert was named ACC Performer of the Week for the week of Sept. 5.

The Deacons claimed the team title with a total of 18 points (1-2-3-5-7), followed by NC State (45 points), Duke (70 points), Meredith (140 points), Shaw (141 points), St. Augustine (157 points) and North Carolina A&T (177 points).
