Tallahassee, Fla. - The Wake Forest women's cross country team finished third out of 12 teams at the ACC Championship on Monday morning. The Deacons finished with 104 points in the 6000 meter race.

Senior Annie Bersagel finished fifth overall and ran a time of 19:31.9 to lead the Deacons. Junior Michelle Sikes finished the race with a time of 20:22.3 and came in 22nd place. Finishing one spot behind Sikes was senior Erin Franklin. Franklin ran a time of 20:25.3. Freshman Nicole Schappert placed 25th overall with a time of 20:26.6. Senior Hanna Bremler rounded out the scoring for the Deacons with her 30th place finish. Bremler completed the race with a time of 20:31.1.

Senior Jill Miller placed 33rd with a time of 20:34.1, and freshman Allison Kieffer completed the race with a time of 20:59.1, good for 48th.

Duke claimed the team title with 20 points, placing its five scoring runners in the top seven spots. NC State finished second with 91 points. The Deacons placed third with 104. Boston College finished in fourth, just two points behind Wake Forest. North Carolina rounded out the top-five with 128 points.
