Kraus Leads Women's Cross Country To Second Place At Winthrop Invitational

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Senior Janelle Kraus picked up her Wake Forest record twelfth individual title and led the Demon Deacon women's cross country team to a second place finish at the Winthrop Invitational in Rock Hill, SC.

Kraus won her second individual title of the season, clearing the 5,000 meter course in a time of 17:07, almost 30 seconds faster than the second place finisher in the race.

Senior Jill Snyder finished 6th with a time of 17:44 and junior Sara Day finished 10th with a time of 17:54 rounding out the Top 10 finishes for Wake.

The women's cross country squad will next be in action at the Greensboro Invitational on September 25.
