Raleigh, N.C. - The 12th-ranked Wake Forest women's cross country team won its second race of the year Saturday at the Raleigh Invitational Cross Country Meet. The Deacons placed the top three runners and four of the top seven to win.

Senior Erin Franklin won the individual title with a time of 17:46.0. Fellow senior Hanna Bremler placed second with a time of 17:47.0. Freshman Allison Kieffer came in third with a time of 18:30.0.

Senior Molly Nunn came in fifth overall with a time of 18:56.0, and sophomore Meredith Placer finished in seventh with a time of 18:59.0.

Freshman Adele Mitchell ran a time of 19:22.0 good for 12^th place. Sophomore Liz Hankinson placed 14^th for the Deacs running a time of 19:34.0.

The Deacons claimed the team title with a total of 18 points (1-2-3-5-7), followed by NC State (45 points), Duke (70 points), Meredith (140 points), Shaw (141 points), St. Augustine (157 points) and North Carolina A&T (177 points).

On the men's side, three Deacons competed in the event. Junior Chris Catton was the low time for the Deacs, running a time of 15:50.0, good for ninth place. Sophomore John Compton placed 10^th with a time of 15:53.0. Ottie Kerley placed 11^th overall with a time of 16:03.0.
