ACC Performer of the Week (Sept. 6, 2005)
2006
Missed the early portion of the season due to injury... Came back to post her best time of the season in her first race, the Oregon Invitational... finished the race in 22:07.25 to place 45th overall... followed that up with a 22:08 at the Pre-NCAA Invitational ... ran a 22:46.0 at the ACC Championships to finish 41st overall and third on the team.
2005
Participated in five of the team's seven events... captured the Wake Forest Relays individual title with a time of 17:12... named the ACC Performer of the Week following the Wake Forest Relays... placed 37th at the Notre Dame Invitational with a time of 17:44... finished 25th and 69th, respectively, at the ACC and NCAA Championships.
Background
A member of the honor society at Pope John Paul II High School... a 10-time state champion in cross country (2003-04), mile (2003-05), two mile (2003-05), 4x800 (2004) and team cross country title in 2004... owns a personal best 4:50.00 in the mile and 10:27 in the two mile... majoring in business with a minor in studio art... born Oct. 30, 1986... daughter of Ken and Jane Schappert.
