WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's volleyball team will face the University of Maryland in the first round of the ACC tournament, which is being held at the University of Virginia's Memorial Gymnasium, Friday thru Sunday. Entering the tournament as the 10th seed, the Deacs will look to earn their second victory over the seventh seeded Terrapins.

Wake Forest will enter the tournament coming off a 3-1 victory against eighth seeded Virginia Tech on Saturday night, giving the Demon Deacons a 12-15 overall record and a 4-12 conference mark. The Terrapins will enter the tournament with a 12-14 record and a 7-9 ACC mark and is coming off a 3-0 loss to Clemson.

This will mark the third meeting this season between the Deac and the Terps. In the first match-up, Maryland won, 3-1, while in the second game, Wake Forest traveled to College Park and defeated the defending ACC champions in a competitive five game match.

If the Deacons win, they will next face the #2 seed, Miami on Friday, Nov. 19.
