Sept. 28, 1999 WINSTON-SALEM, N.C -- Sophomore Trina Maso de Moya recorded 14 kills, nine digs and a .524 hitting percentage to lead Wake Forest to a 3-0 sweep of visiting Liberty in a women's volleyball match at Reynolds Gym on Tuesday night. The Demon Deacons (12-4) jumped to a 14-0 lead in Game 1 and continued to roll past the Flames (6-7), winning by convincing game scores of 15-3, 15-3, 15-0. Wake recorded a team hitting percentage of .582 while holding Liberty to a .057 hitting percentage. Sophomore Margaret Davidson added 11 kills and no errors on 16 attempts (.688), while freshman setter Ashlee Phillips tallied 40 assists. For Liberty, Anthonia Akpama and Kyrie Dorn netted seven kills and four digs apiece. Wake Forest travels to NC State on Friday, Oct. 1, at 7:00 pm in Raleigh, N.C.
