WINSTON-SALEM - The Wake Forest volleyball team will hold its annual Black & Gold Scrimmage on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in Reynolds Gymnasium.

Admission to the intrasquad scrimmage is free and open to the public. Demon Deacon fans are encouraged to come out for a preview of what Wake Forest volleyball has in store for 2008.

Fourth-year head coach Heather Kahl Holmes returns nine letterwinners, including all six starters, from last season. The Deacs also return a pair of All-ACC performers for the first time since 2001 in graduate student Natalie Mullikin and sophomore Kelsey Jones.

Wake Forest will open the regular season next weekend when it hosts the Deacon Invitational on Aug. 29-30. The Deacons will play Davidson on Friday and then Norfolk State and Winthrop on Saturday.
