Wake Forest Volleyball Loses to Clemson

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Clemson defeated Wake Forest in four games by scores of 15-10, 15-8, 14-16, 15-7 in ACC volleyball action on Sunday afternoon at Reynolds Gym. With the loss the Deacs close out the regular season 8-23 overall and 1-15 in the ACC. Clemson improves to 23-6 overall and 10-6 in the ACC.

Wake Forest was led by sophomore Katie Horne who had 21 kills and eight digs. Sophomore Amber Grahn recorded 54 assists and seven digs.

Clemson was paced by sophomore Alison Coday who finished the match with 19 kills. Senior Michelle Thieke recorded 65 assists and 12 digs for the Tigers.

Both teams will play in the ACC Tournament which begins in Raleigh this Friday. Wake Forest will face NC State in the opening match at 10 a.m. Clemson's opponent is to be determined.
