Wake Forest Volleyball Loses To Maryland

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Four players recorded double figure kill totals for Maryland as the Terrapins defeated Wake Forest 15-8, 15-6, 15-7 in ACC volleyball action on Friday night.

With the loss Wake Forest falls to 8-15 overall and 1-8 in the ACC. The Terps improve to 19-0 and 10-0 in the ACC.

Maryland won the match with a balanced attack that produced a team hitting percentage of .366. Junior Jaime Summers led the team with 15 kills, while Kim Adolphs added 13 kills and a match high 16 digs.

Sophomore Katie Horne led the Deacs in kills with 16. Sharon Harmsworth led Wake Forest in digs with nine.

Wake Forest's next match will be tomorrow night against Virginia in Reynolds Gym beginning at 7 p.m. Maryland's next match will be Friday, October 31 when they host Clemson in College Park, MD.
