Dayton, Ohio - In their second five-game match of the day, the Wake Forest volleyball team defeated Morehead State, 3-2. Senior Kim Stern led the Deacons with 19 kills and 12 digs, her second double-double of the day, and of the season. Wake Forest improves to 6-2, while Morehead State falls to 1-7.

Erin Borhart contributed 40 of the 49 total assists and posted 11 digs, the second most by the Deacons for the evening. Stern led in the category (12), posted five assists and one service ace. Christy Williams served three aces, tallied three digs and an assist.

Ten different Deacons played in the match. Wake Forest fell 21-30 in the first game but rebounded to take the second, 30-19. The teams swapped again in the third and fourth games, Morehead State jumping ahead in the match, 2-1 with a 30-20 third game victory, and Wake Forest tying the match with a 30-22 fourth game comeback. The Deacons won, 15-11 to seal the match in the fifth game.

Wake Forest resumes play in the Raider Classic tomorrow at noon. The Deacons will face Bowling Green.
