WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest wrapped up a successful spring season with a perfect 8-0 record at its third home invitational on Saturday at Reynolds Gymnasium. The Demon Deacons went a combined 22-4 in competition this spring.

On Saturday, Wake picked up two-game sweeps each against Radford, UNC Wilmington, Williams & Mary and High Point.

Individually, Sally Fischer led the defensive effort with 4.63 digs per game. Abby Miller and Megan Thornberry each averaged 3.75 digs per game, while Kelsey Jones was not far behind with 3.25 digs per game.

Jones, a sophomore setter, also set the team to a .319 hitting efficiency.

Natalie Mullikin and Ashley Homitz were the beneficiaries of Jones' sets. Mullikin averaged 4.88 kills per game and hit .524 on the day. Homitz turned in a mark of 2.63 kills per game and .364 hitting percentage.

Mullikin, a redshirt senior middle blocker, also averaged 1.19 blocks per game.

Wake Forest has concluded its spring season. The Deacons will return to action this fall.
