ATLANTA, GA - The Wake Forest Outdoor Track & Field teams did well in a final tune-up before the NCAA Championships at the Georgia Tech Invitational Friday and Saturday. Despite wet and cool conditions, the Demon Deacons were able to produce good results. Nikeya Green posted an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 800-Meter Dash.

Green, a freshman from Woodbridge, VA, finished fourth in the 800-Meter Run with a career best time of 2:07.14, provisionally qualifying her for the NCAA Championships. Shauna Danos came in 25th with a time of 2:12.89, Adralyn Wendel ran a 2:17.08 for 33rd and Summer Shaw took 34th with a time of 2:18.64. Sara Day finished fourth in the 1,500-Meter Run with a team best time of 4:26.30. Kara Mullin took 18th place with a time of 4:40.94. Jamie Grayzer finished seventh in the Heptathlon with a score of 4595.

On the men's side, Matt Udvari took 12th place in the Decathlon, racking up a score of 6320. Paul Singleton came in 17th place in the 800-Meter Run with a time of 1:51.07. Nathan Sisco led three Demon Deacons in the 1,500-Meter Run with a time of 3:47.50 for sixth place. Josh Buffolino ran a personal best 3:49.61 to take 12th place and Chris Estwanik took 17th place in 3:50.78. Alan Susi set a new personal record in the Javelin Throw, throwing 206'1ä for seventh place.

Sara Day will be competing in the 10,000-Meter Run and Nathan Sisco, Nikeya Green and J.T. Kuretich will wait and see if their provisional times/marks will get them in.
