WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will open the NCAA Tournament with No. 17 Arkansas on Friday at 1 p.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C.

2008 marks Wake Forest's fifth consecutive tournament appearance and 16th invitation since 1992. The Demon Deacons have advanced as high as the Sweet 16 four times, posting the most recent run in 2002.

The Demon Deacons (8-13) and Lady Razorbacks (15-9) have met just one time, in February 1991, where Wake Forest took a 5-4 win in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Host school North Carolina will play South Carolina State in the opening round, and the winners of the first two matchups will play on May 10 at 4 p.m. for a spot in the Sweet 16.

Tickets for the weekend matches are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors.
