No. 11 Wake Forest Women's Tennis Downs Two ACC Foes
Deacons handle both Virginia and Maryland over the weekend.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The 11th-ranked Wake Forest women's tennis team defeated Virginia on Saturday afternoon and downed Maryland on Sunday to pick up a pair of key Atlantic Coast Conference victories. With the victories, Wake Forest improves to 13-7 overall and 5-1 in ACC play. The Demon Deacons defeated Virginia (10-7, 1-3 ACC) 5-4 on Saturday. Trailing 4-2 after singles play, Wake Forest swept all three doubles flights to storm back for the victory.
Wake Forest defeated Maryland (8-9, 1-4 ACC) by a 5-4 margin as well. The Demon Deacons won four of six singles flights and then won at No. 2 doubles to seal the victory.
Wake Forest will return to action on Friday, April 17 when the Deacs host North Carolina at 2 p.m.
