No.10 Women's Tennis Falls to No.2 Duke

Deacons fall to 8-5 overall.

DURHAM, N.C. -- The second-ranked Duke women's tennis team defeated No. 10 Wake Forest 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon. Duke improved its season record to 13-3 overall and 2-0 in the ACC while Wake Forest fell to 8-5 and 1-1 in conference play.

Wake Forest picked up a singles victory from freshman Mariel Verban who defeated Megan Miller at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-1. Verban teamed with Lule Aydin at No. 2 doubles to defeat Miller and Kristin Sanderson, 8-4.
