March 12, 2000 WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The third-ranked Wake Forest women's tennis team defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 6-3 at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center on Sunday. Wake won singles matches at Nos. 1,2,3 and 5. Freshman Bea Bielik played at No. 1, defeating Sabrina Pardo 6-3, 6-3. Janet Bergman defeated Bobbi Guthrie 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2. At No. 3 singles, Maren Haus defeated Mysti Morris 6-0, 0-6, 6-4. Senior Annemarie Milton defeated Charlotte Pernet 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5. Wake won two of the three doubles matches for the 6-3 win. With the win, Wake improves to 7-1 with the win. The Deacs will be back in action on March 15 when they host the Texas Longhorns. Gametime is set for 2 p.m.
