SOPHOMORE SEASON
Teamed up with Coetzee in doubles for most of the spring dual season, going 10-4 ... went 6-3 at No. 2, 4-1 at No. 3 ... 5-1 versus ACC opponents ... 19-11 in overall doubles, also playing with Maren Haus (4-5), Proctor (1-0) and Martzolf (4-2) ... also 10-10 in singles, playing mainly Nos. 5 and 6 ... 2-3 at No. 5, 2-2 at No. 6 and 1-0 at No. 3 ... 0-2 versus ACC opponents ... did not compete in the NCAA team tournament as she was hampered by a stress fracture in her right leg in the postseason ... went 5-5 in fall singles matches, competing in three events ... went 2-2 at The William & Mary Invitational ... went 1-2 at the Virginia Tech Invite ... won two matches to advance through qualifying rounds at the Omni Hotels Southeast Region Championships ... fell to eventual champion, Julie DeRoo of Duke, in the first round of the main draw ... went 6-3 in fall doubles play, competing in three events with two different partners ... won the top consolation bracket at the William & Mary Invite with Maren Haus, going 3-1 ... advanced to the championship match of the flight "A" bracket at the Virginia Tech Invitational with Katie Martzolf ... also teamed up with Martzolf at the Southeast Region Championships, advancing to the second round.
FRESHMAN SEASON
Singles: Saw extensive action in her rookie season, playing at the No. 5 and 6 positions ... compiled a 6-13 dual match record, including a 2-8 mark at No. 5 and a 4-5 record at No. 6 ... went 2-4 against ACC opponents ... faced three ranked opponents during the season ... posted a 2-0 record in her first NCAA Tournament, winning her first-round match vs. Illinois State ... also rallied to provide the clinching win in a three-set thriller versus Oklahoma State's Ashleigh Dolman ... an Atlanta-area native, Smith was able to play in front of a hometown crowd at the NCAA Championships in Stone Mountain, Ga. ... posted a 4-6 singles record in her first semester of collegiate action ... played in four events - The William and Mary Invitational, National Clay Court qualifying, South Carolina Invitational and ITA Southeast Regional ... advanced to the second round of qualifying at the Clay Courts ... Doubles: Competed with teammates Janet Bergman and Maren Haus in the fall, compiling a 9-4 record ... ... won the William & Mary "B" draw with Haus ... advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Southeast Regional with Bergman as the duo played together for the first time all year ... upset the 11th-ranked team from Kentucky in the second round ... posted a 14-11 mark in dual doubles, playing mainly at No. 2 with Haus ... went 4-3 against ACC opponents ... defeated two ranked opponents ... topped a 14th-ranked duo from Texas A&M, then defeated a 27th-ranked team from Texas the following day ... won eight of their last 13 matches ... nearly pulled off the upset of second-ranked Barnikow/Kalvaria of Stanford in the third round of the NCAA team championships ... finished her rookie season with a 23-16 doubles record.
PRIOR TO WAKE FOREST
