JUNIOR SEASON
Named All-ACC and led the team with 28 singles wins....maintained a consistent national ranking in the top 30 throughout the spring....ultimately ranked as high as 10 in February and finished the year at 29 which was a strong improvement from the previous year..... posted a 12-8 mark in dual team singles play with a 4-3 record in the ACC....all singles matches were played at the number 1 spot with the exception of her 3-0 record at number 2 singles...finished the year with a record of 28-12.... finished the year in doubles with partner Aimee Smith ranked number 38 and reached as high as 15 in January and February....Coetzee and Smith finished second in the 2003 ITA Southeast Regional Indoor Championship and ultimately totaled 14 wins and 3 losses throughout the season....along with Smith, Coetzee also teamed with Katie Martzolf to reach as high as 20 in the nation in doubles play and topped off the year at 50....they recorded a record of 7-5 on the year.....finished the year in doubles with an overall record of 31-10....won the Flight A singles and Flight A doubles titles at the Virginia Tech Invitational...defeated several nationally ranked players throughout the season including 22nd ranked Jenny McGaffigan of Illinois 6-2, 3-6, 6-0 and 18th ranked Pitra Dizdar of Texas 6-2, 6-1....advanced to the second round of the NCAA Singles Championship with a 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 win over 70th ranked Angela Buergis of Minnesota before falling to 10th ranked Alice Barnes of Stanford, 6-1, 6-3.
SOPHOMORE SEASON
Led the team with 20 singles wins ... named the team's MVP ... nationally ranked in singles all spring, reaching as high as 62nd ... played every dual singles match but one at No. 1 ... won nine dual singles matches, including a 4-4 mark in the ACC ... ended the year with 16 doubles wins, including 11 in dual play and a 4-3 ACC record ... played every doubles match but two with partner Aimee Smith ... played every doubles dual match but two at the No. 1 position ... upset 18th-ranked Fuchs and Boomershine from William & Mary 8-4 on Feb. 23 ... defeated Strohm and Grasic from Texas 8-6, who were unranked on March 30, but finished the year 22nd ... upset 27th-ranked Jayet and Coin from Clemson 8-6 on Apr. 18 ... had wins over ranked singles opponents that included #81 Mihaela Moldovan from Florida State on Mar. 22, #88 Henriette Williams from Virginia on Apr. 12 and #85 Ramona But from Maryland on Apr. 13 ... also beat Michelle DaCosta from Michigan, who was unranked on Feb. 27, but finished the year ranked 106th ... picked 14th in the Dec. 10 fall regional singles rankings and 13th in doubles with partner Aimee Smith ... went 11-1 in fall singles play, emerging as the team's number one player ... put together a 5-5 doubles mark in the fall with Smith ... won her singles flight at the William & Mary Invitational with four straight set victories, including a win over Tiffany Eklov from Illinois, who was unranked on Sept. 20, but finished the year ranked 88th ... upset 29th-ranked team, Michaela Havelkova and Valerie Vladea from Minnesota, 8-5 in the first round of doubles at the William & Mary Invitational ... won the top singles flight at the Deacon Classic with four straight set victories including #92 Jen Tuchband from Virginia and Wake Forest teammate #75 Katie Martzolf ... went 3-1 in doubles play at the Deacon Classic ... won three singles matches to advance to the quarterfinals of the ITA Southeast Regional, including a win over Julia Smith from Duke who was unranked on Oct. 27, but finished the year ranked 68th ... split two doubles matches at the ITA Southeast Regional to advance to the Round of 16.
FRESHMAN SEASON
Joined the Deacon squad in January and made an immediate impact ... provided the clinching win for the Deacons in both the second-and third-round NCAA matches versus Clemson and Texas ... saw singles action at positions 3-6 ... compiled a 16-6 singles record, including a 6-2 ACC mark ... put together a 15-8 doubles record, playing with Maren Haus, Aimee Smith and Bea Bielik, including a 5-1 ACC mark with Smith ... teamed up with Bea Bielik for the first time this season at No. 1 doubles for the NCAA Team Tournament, going 3-0 ... the duo defeated two ranked tandems - the #30 team from Texas (8-2) and Florida's third-ranked duo (8-5) in the third round and quarterfinals.
PRIOR TO WAKE FOREST
Graduated from high school in November 2001 in her home of Bloemfontein, South Africa ... won the 2001 African Junior Championships ... finished as runner up of the 2000 Johannesburg ITF ... also advanced to the finals of the 2000 Pretoria ITF ... earned an ITF singles ranking of 72nd ... her highest ITF doubles ranking was No. 42.
