TEMUCO, Chile - Wake Forest junior defender Kaley Fountain got a starting nod and played the entire 90 minutes in the United States' 2-0 loss to China in the final match of the group stage at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. Even with the loss, the U.S. finished first in group B, with six points. France also finished with six points, but the United States won the group by virtue of having a better goal differential. The U.S. is back in action on Sunday at 5 p.m. in the quarterfinals. Fountain, a junior on the Wake Forest women's soccer team, was in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game after not playing in the first two games of group play. Fountain played the entire 90 minutes for the U.S. team. After a scoreless first half, China scored two goals early in the second half to grab a 2-0 lead and held on for the victory.
