CHILLAN, Chile - Kaley Fountain and the United States U-20 Women's National Team opened play in the FIFA U-20 World Cup with a 3-0 victory over France at Estadio Nelson Oyarzun on Wednesday afternoon.

The victory over France puts the Americans in first in their group after the first day of group play with three points. The U.S. returns to the pitch on Saturday, November 22, at 10 a.m. to meet Argentina. The game will be shown live at ESPN360.com.

After the match was scoreless at the half, the U.S. scored three second half goals as Alex Morgan and Sydney Leroux found the back of the net. Leroux finished the game with two goals and an assist. Fountain, who was in uniform for the game, did not see any playing time in the opener.
