RALEIGH, N.C. - The No. 12 Wake Forest women's soccer team will play their final road match of the 2007 regular season this Thursday when they face the NC State Wolfpack in Raleigh at 4 p.m.

The Demon Deacons (9-5-3, 4-2-2) recently took a leap in the rankings after their 3-2 upset over No. 10 Florida State last Thursday. Sophomore Jill Hutchinson earned ACC Player of the Week honors and Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week honors for her game-winning goal in the contest.

NC State (6-8-3, 0-7-1) is entering Thursday's match immediately following a 3-0 shutout over Francis Marion on Sunday. The Pack held Francis Marion to just three shots through 90 minutes. In NC State's last ACC outing, the Tar Heels routed the Pack 4-1 in Chapel Hill.

The Demon Deacons will return to Spry Stadium for their final regular season match this Sunday to host Miami, the ACC's biggest surprise of 2007. The Hurricanes were picked last in the 2007 ACC Coaches Poll following their 1-8-1 conference finish in 2006. Currently the `Canes sit at fourth in conference standings with a 9-4-4, 4-2-2 record. The Sunday showdown is set for 1 p.m.
