WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - No. 19 Wake Forest looks to seal a spot in the ACC Tournament for the 15th straight year on Thursday as the Deacons travel to Blacksburg, Va., to meet Virginia Tech at 7 p.m. (ET). The game will be shown live on ACC Select.

The Deacons enter the last week of the regular season in seventh place in the ACC with a 3-5-0 record and nine points. Wake Forest is one point ahead of eighth-place Miami and two points behind sixth-place Virginia Tech. A Wake Forest victory over the Hokies or a Clemson loss at Maryland would clinch a spot in the ACC Tournament, scheduled for November 5-9 in Cary, N.C. The top eight teams will participate in the league tournament.

Wake Forest is coming off a 1-0 loss at Miami last Sunday. The Deacons were able to manage seven corner kicks in the first half but were unable to capitalize on any of the opportunities. Miami scored the only goal of the game late in the first half on a header from Brittney Macdonald.

Virginia Tech enters Thursday's match with a 9-6-2 overall record and a 3-3-2 mark in ACC play. The Hokies are currently sixth in the conference, two points ahead of the Deacons. Virginia Tech is coming off a 2-1 loss at Boston College last Sunday.

The Hokies main offensive threat is Emily Jukich. Jukich has 13 goals on the season and 27 points overall. Julian Johnson leads Virginia Tech with seven assists.

Kristin Carden has played 14 games in goal for the Hokies, including 13 starts. She has posted a 1.22 goals against average and has notched four shutouts on the season.

The Deacons and Hokies are meeting for the sixth time in series history. Wake Forest leads the all-time series 4-1-0, but the two teams have split the previous two meetings in Blacksburg. Wake has won the last three meetings in the series, including a 3-1 win at home last season.
