WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 18 Wake Forest women's soccer will host No. 10 Florida State on Thursday at night at 7 p.m. The Demon Deacons' 2-1 double overtime win over Clemson last Sunday set their Atlantic Coast Conference record at 3-2-2, while overall the Deacs are 8-5-3. The Seminoles are undefeated through their last four matches, posting wins in Tallahassee over Maryland, Boston College and Miami and a notching a road win over Virginia Tech. Wake leads the FSU/Deacon series 4-1-1 at Spry Stadium and holds an 8-4-3 lead since the teams first met in 1995. The Seminoles have had an edge over the Deacons in recent action, posting a 4-0-1 record through the last five match ups. The Deacons last defeated the Noles in 2002, with a 3-2 overtime victory in Tallahassee. The teams last met in the second round of the ACC tournament, where the they battled to a scoreless draw. The Seminoles out shot the Deacs 4-2 in penalty kicks to advance in tourney. A few minutes prior to Thursday's kickoff, Wake's six seniors will be recognized as a part of Senior Night festivities.
