WINSTON-SALEM,N.C. - The No. 2 Wake Forest men's soccer team will host its last home game in October on Saturday, featuring the North Carolina State Wolfpack at 7 p.m.

Fans will have an opportunity to meet the Demon Deacons during an autograph session following the Saturday night match. Registration will also be available for the upcoming 3v3 tournament to benefit EC Miracles and Grassroot Soccer.

The unbeaten Demon Deacons (8-0-2, 2-0-1) are holding steady in the ACC's runner-up slot this week, while NC State (4-4-3, 0-2-1) sits at eighth in conference standings following a 2-1 loss with Boston College last weekend.

Boston College currently leads the conference, with four ACC wins.

The Deacons recently defeated the Appalachian State Mountaineers 5-0 at Spry Stadium on Tuesday. The win was Wake's largest margin of victory since the 2006 season opener when the Deacs defeated Central Florida 5-0 at the Wake Forest University Tournament.

Last season the Deacons defeated the Wolfpack 1-0 in Spry Stadium. Then-senior Wells Thompson netted the game-winner in the 51st minute.

In 2005, NC State snapped a 12-match losing streak with Deacons that began in 1995. Wake's Julian Valentin netted the Deacs' only goal in the contest.
