Women's Soccer Loses to No. 10 Florida, 1-0

Winston-Salem, NC - Andrea Sellers scored the game's only goal to lead 10th-ranked Florida to a 1-0 victory over No. 14 Wake Forest Sunday afternoon at Spry Stadium.

Sellers scored on a header from point-blank range at 55:18 after a previous Florida shot deflected off Wake Forest goalkeeper Beth Klein.

Florida controlled the ball and dominated much of the play throughout the game. The Gators outshot the Demon Deacons, 20-3 while Wake Forest keeper Sari Rose combined with Klein to make 12 saves for the Deacs. Florida goalkeepers Michelle Harris and Lynn Pattishall combined for the shutout for the Gators.

The Deacons return to action on Wednesday, when they host Clemson at 5:30 p.m. The wake Forest men's team takes on Duke at 7 p.m. following the women's contest.
