CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Wake Forest's Emily Taggart sent a through ball to Joline Charlton in the 8th minute of overtime that Charlton collected and sent into the Virginia net, giving the Demon Deacons a 1-0 victory in soccer action today in Charlottesville.

After a scoreless regulation that saw the Cavaliers outshoot the Demon Deacons 10-5, Wake stepped up its offensive pressure, shooting four times in the overtime period, including Charlton's game-winner.

Wake's Erin Regan made seven saves on the Cavaliers' 10 shots while her counterpart Julie Harris made five saves for Virginia.

The Demon Deacons return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 27 when they host East Carolina at 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium.
