Former Wake Forest women's golfer Dr. Charlotte Grant will be inducted into the Lookout Mountain Hall of Fame on Sunday, August 17 in her hometown of Chattanooga, Tenn.

Grant was named the most outstanding Wake Forest female athlete for the 1980-81 season after leading the Demon Deacons to the 1980 NCAIAW Championship and recording a second-place finish individually. She also led the Deacs to their first AIAW National Collegiate Championship in 1982.

"It is a great honor to be selected to the Lookout Mountain Sports Hall of Fame, and I am humbled to be included with a group of individuals whom I admire so much," Grant said.

Grant, who played at Wake from 1977-81, was named to the Regional All-America Team in 1980 and was selected to the Atlantic Coast Conference's 50th Anniversary Team in 2002.

Grant became the first LPGA Tour player from the state of Tennessee in 1983.

She led her high school, Chattanooga's Girls Preparatory School, to four state high school titles from 1975-78 and was a two-time Chattanooga Women's City Champion.

Grant received her Ph.D. in architecture from Georgia Tech in 2003.
