The 2008 NCAA Women's Golf Championships was suspended Wednesday during the second round due to windy conditions.

Southern California and UCLA are tied for the tournament lead at 8-over (584) when play was halted at the par-72, 6,424-yard University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course. Belen Mozo from Southern California has the individual lead at 4-under (140).

Nannette Hill is third at two under par but completed only six holes on the day.

Only 12 teams finished their second round Wednesday while the other schools, including Wake, will resume play at 9 a.m. eastern time Thursday. Play was stopped at 1:10 p.m. due to high winds and resumed again at 3:19 p.m.

The official suspension came at 4:55 p.m. when teams were alerted to clear the course. The remaining tournament scheduled will be adjusted and announced by the NCAA.

The second round will be resumed at the current location Thursday at 7 a.m. mountain time with results available on Golfstat.com. Live video will be available for the third and fourth round at NCAAsports.com.
