WINSTON-SALEM, NC--For the sixth consecutive season, the Wake Forest women's golf team received a bid to play in the NCAA East Regional. This season's event will consist of 19 teams and seven individuals and will be played at the Duke Golf Club in Durham, NC, May 7-9. The Deacons, ranked 17th in the latest MasterCard listing, will be competing for one of eight team spots that will advance to the NCAA Championships, May 20-23, at the University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, WI. Wake Forest won regional tournaments in 1994 and 1995 and have never finished worse than fifth in the event. The fifth place finish came in last season's regional at Bloomington, IL.
