April 13, 1998 Deacon Facts April 17-19, 1998 Grandover East in Greensboro, NC Tee Times 8-9 a.m. each day Wake Forest Prepares For ACC Tournament This will be the second time in three seasons that the tournament has been held at Grandover. The tournament was played at the course in 1996 with the Deacons finishing second to Duke. Wake's 899 team total in the 1996 championship tied the school record for lowest 54-hole score in the ACC Tournament.
Armas Leads Young Team Into Conference Championship Armas has played in three ACC Tournaments. She withdrew from the 1995 tournament, but finished ninth at Grandover in 1996. Last season, Wagner posted the best finish among the three golfers as she placed 10th. Armas placed 15th while Kirwin was 17th. The other two players Wake will use in the tournament are sophomore Kerri Murphy and freshman Marta Prieto.
Wake Forest Owns Three ACC Titles Dianne Dailey coached teams won the tournament in 1994 and 1995.

Head Coach Dianne Dailey In 10th Season During her 10 seasons, Wake has won 17 tournament titles. Included in those 17 are two ACC Championships and two NCAA East Regional Championships. The Deacs have finished among the top-3 in 40 tournaments and produced four players who combined have been All-Americans eight times.
Armas Looking To The Return Of Her "Sweet Stroke" In the spring it took her nine rounds before she recorded a round under 75. Armas is looking to get back to form as she enters the ACC Tournament.
