Live Scoring

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The No. 14 Wake Forest women's golf team recorded a 302 and rose three spots in the second round of the Bryan Park National Collegiate in cold, soggy Brown Summit, N.C.

Wake (+32) is ten strokes back of first-place Duke heading into Sunday's final round.

"Tomorrow will be challenging but we're up for it," Wake Forest head coach Dianne Dailey said. "We're four shots out of third and 10 shots out of first. With the weather like it is, it becomes a question of who has a tougher mindset. Anything can happen. We made up some ground today and we can definitely make up some ground tomorrow as well."

The Deacs were led by Nannette Hill's one-over 73, four shots under her first round score. The junior finished tied for 14th and jumped 25 spots from a 39-place finish following round one. Hill will attempt to record a top 20 finish for the first time since the SunTrust Lady Gator last month in Gainesville, Fla.

Freshman Allie Bodemann and junior Jean Chua are tied for 20th with two-day totals of 152. Bodemann fired a five-over 77 Saturday and Chua posted a six-over 78. For Chua, a top 20 finish this weekend would be her first of the season. Bodemann is looking for her third.

Natalie Sheary was the third Deacon golfer to improve her individual standing. The freshman carded a two-over 74, six strokes under her round one total, to land in a tie for 35th. Sheary ended round one in 80th place.

Senior Laura Crawford shot an 11-over 83 Saturday to fall into a tie for 66th.

Jordan Craig, competing as an individual, is currently tied for 23rd. The senior posted a five-over 78 Saturday. A top 20 finish for Craig would be her second of the season.

Bodemann, Hill, Chua and Sheary recorded two birdies apiece to lead the Deacs in that category.

Stacy Lewis of Arkansas fired a three-under 69 for the second round and leads Duke's Amada Blumenherst and College of Charleston's Steffi Kirchmayr by four strokes in the race for individual honors.

Duke leads the field with a two-day total of 598 (+22). Florida is one stroke off the lead at 599.

Weather caused a one-hour delay Saturday as wet greens kept teams from teeing-off at the scheduled time of 10 a.m. Conditions Sunday could be as problematic as temperatures will be in the upper 30s for a 9:30 a.m. tee time and a 40 percent chance of rain has been projected as well.

"The ball didn't go as far as it has been and the wind wasn't blowing the same direction," Dailey said. "Conditions were tough but the greens were holding the ball well so the students could be a little more aggressive with their shots. The cold definitely affected play."
