Round One Release in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

Sophomore Laura Ormson carded a 79 (+7) to finish tied for 15th after the first round of the Diet Coke Wofford Invitational in Spartanburg, S.C.

Ormson is competing in her second event of the season. She shot a 36 on the front nine but a 43 on the back nine kept Ormson out of the top 10.

Sophomore Erin Boyle posted an 81 (+9) to land in a tie for 23rd. Boyle is also competing in her second event of the season.

Sophomore Jessica Boney is currently tied for 43rd after her first-round 88 (+16) at the par 72, 6,701-yard Carolina Country Club.

Elon is leading the tournament and placed three scorers in the top ten heading into the final round.

Play will resume Tuesday with a shotgun start scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in preparation for afternoon thunderstorms.
