WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 2 Wake Forest field hockey team continues road action as it travels to North Carolina to face the Tar Heels in an Atlantic Coast Conference game at 7 p.m.

Both ACC teams opened their season last weekend at the Big Ten/ACC Challenge at Michigan.

The Demon Deacons dropped their season opener against Iowa, but rebounded with a 3-2 victory over host Michigan. North Carolina went 2-0 at the Challenge defeating Michigan 3-1 and Iowa 5-2.

Third-ranked North Carolina leads the series 27-15-3, but Wake has won the last five meetings since 2004 with three games being decided in overtime. Last season, the Deacs defeated the Tar Heels 4-3 in overtime during the regular season and captured a 3-0 victory in the semifinal round of the ACC Tournament.
