Wake Forest Field Hockey Overpowers Radford, 5-0

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- After six consecutive road games, the Wake Forest field hockey team returned home tonight to defeat Radford University (3-8), 5-0.

The Demon Deacons (8-7) started their scoring drive five minutes into the game with the first of three goals from sophomore, Margit Haalebos. Amanda Janney and Jenny Everett, the Deacon's leading scorer with 16 goals, also contributed first half goals. Haalebos continued her scoring pursuit by tallying both of the Deacons second half goals. The Deacs outshot the Highlanders 16-4.

Wake Forest hosts defending national champion, North Carolina, next Wednesday, October 22, at 7pm.
