LOUISVILLE, KY. - Nicole Dudek scored a pair of goals just over a minute apart to give lift Duke over Wake Forest, 3-2, in NCAA semifinal action, Friday night. The Demon Deacons close their season with a 21-2 overall record that includes the program's first undefeated regular season.

The Demon Deacons have made six consecutive semifinal appearances and have compiled a 19-4 record in the NCAA Tournament.

Dudek scored her first goal at the 56:54 mark off a pass from Katie Grant from the near side of the circle. Immediately bringing the ball back into the circle, the Blue Devils earned a corner and Dudeck found the back of the cage again, giving Duke the 3-1 advantage.

Regaining momentum with 10 minutes remaining, Wake Forest earned a pair of corners, but were unable to convert on the first two. Earning a third, Kelly Wood lifted the ball behind Christy Morgan, the Duke goalkeeper, for the score. With just less than three minutes remaining, the Deacs didn't have time to bring it back down and the Blue Devils took the game, 3-2.

The Demon Deacons entered halftime with a 1-0 advantage when Wake got the ball inside the circle off a free hit near the base line. Christine Suggs took the first shot and the ball was saved. Pushing it out into a mix of both teams, freshman Michelle Kasold grabbed the rebound and put it in for the 1-0 advantage at the half.

Duke evened the score off a corner 15 minutes into the second half when Duke's Hilary Linton passed it to Katie Grant, who batted it in.
