HANOVER, Mass. - The Wake Forest field hockey team ended the regular season with a 5-1 win over Dartmouth on Sunday afternoon and will now enter the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament with a 17-2 record on Thursday, November 6.

Wake Forest shut out Dartmouth (6-10) in the first half. Liz Fries and Hilary Moore each posted goals during penalty corners and Michelle Kasold started the game with a goal on a breakaway play, taking the assisting pass from Kim Romansky.

Moore added the first goal of the second half when she tipped in a shot from Romansky, giving the Deacs a 4-0 advantage. Freshman Faith Adams scored her fourth goal of the season, assisted by Melissa Martin, to complete Wake's five-goal attack.

Dartmouth's Chelsea Dodds converted on a penalty stroke to score the lone goal for the Big Green in the 62nd minute.

The quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament will begin this Thursday, with the first game set for 1 p.m. ET, followed by the second game at 4 p.m. Visit the Tournament Website for updates and additional information.
