Coaches would ideally like to move her back to the outside so they could generate quick counter attacks with her ball speed ... Learned a lot playing in the center last season and has strong offense in the back field.
2005:
A core member of the Demon Deacon defense that allowed just 0.96 goals per game ... Scored two goals and added three assists ... Was a member of the Jr. World Cup team that played in Santiago, Chile and scored one goal at the international tournament ... Had an assist in the NCAA semifinals against Duke ... Played and started in 20 games - missed three while competing at the Jr. World Cup ... Fired 13 shots ... Scored her first career goal against Indiana ... The goal at Louisville was the game- winner and the first of her career.
2004: Started in all 23 games for the Deacons... Took one shot from her defensive position... Selected to the Under-21 US National Team.
2003: The only freshman to start every game in 2003... A crucial member of the Deacon defense that allowed only 113 shots for 13 goals and lead the ACC and the nation in scoring defense (.56)... Along with teammate Lauren Crandall, selected to the United States Under-19 National Team.
Highschool: Came to Wake Forest after a sterling high school career ... helped lead Collegiate to the state championship in 2001 ... Collegiate Upper School also won league championships in 2001 and 2002 ... earned first team all-conference honors as a junior and senior ... the state independent schools field hockey player of the year in 2001 and 2002 ... named MVP of the state tournament last fall ... was the 2003 Richmond Times-Dispatch scholar-athlete runner-up ... a first team high school All-American ... won the 2003 Reed Athletic Award ... a three-sport athlete in high school.
