WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will host Winston-Salem State at 5 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The game will precede the men's basketball game with the Rams at 8 p.m.

Wake Forest enters the contest with two wins for the 2008-09 season. On Friday the Demon Deacons shutdown Appalachian State 68-35, following up a 62-27 win over UNC Greensboro to open the season.

Freshman Secily Ray currently holds the team-high rebound average of 7.5 through the first two games. She ranks seventh in the ACC in the category and fifth in the defensive rebound category. Alex Tchangoue leads the team scoring, averaging an even 13 points per game.

The Lady Rams are 0-3 with losses to Elon, UNC Wilmington and most recently Navy. Rene Rector leads Winston-Salem with 12.7 points per game while Vontisha Woods holds the team high average of seven rebounds.

Wake Forest will make its first road trip on November 26, facing Charlotte at Halton Arena. Tip-off is 12 p.m.

The tip-off times have been announced for the November 29 game vs. Miami (Ohio) and the December 6 game vs. Coppin State. Wake Forest will play Miami at 12 p.m. and Coppin State at 2 p.m.
