DURHAM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will face No. 11/12 Duke in Durham at the Cameron Indoor Stadium on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Demon Deacons (14-11, 1-9) notched their first ACC win of the season on Thursday against Virginia Tech at the Joel Coliseum, halting the Hokies 67-50.

The Blue Devils (17-6, 6-2) have split the last four contests, taking wins over Virginia Tech (85-50) and Boston College (51-41) and losses against North Carolina (76-93) and non-conference opponent Tennessee (64-67).

Duke holds a 48-18 advantage in the all-time series since the first meeting between the teams in 1975. The last time the Demon Deacons pulled a win was in the first round of the 1993 ACC Tournament (70-69). Wake Forest then fell to 10th ranked Virginia in the second round (74-46). Duke has taken 30 consecutive wins since.

The Demon Deacons will have a new face in the lineup on Sunday; former manager Kathryn "Kat" Smith was elevated to player status on Friday. Smith, a five-foot-eight freshman shooting guard from Atlanta, Georgia, will suit up in jersey number 11.

The Sunday game will serve as Duke's "Think Pink" game and fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game in support of the fight against breast cancer. Wake Forest's "Think Pink" contest will be on Sunday, February 17 against N.C. State.
