RALEIGH, N.C. - After breaking from Atlantic Coast Conference play to host Savannah State on Thursday, the Wake Forest women's basketball team will return to conference competition with N.C. State on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in Raleigh. The Demon Deacons (13-8, 0-6) enter the contest on the heels of their largest margin of victory this season, an 85-41 win over Savannah State on Thursday night. NC State is currently 12-7 and 7-3 in the ACC, but will host Virginia Tech on Friday night before facing Wake Forest on Sunday. Sunday's conference match-up will be televised on RSN and will feature talent Mike Hogewood and former WFU Head Coach Charlene Curtis.
Roulhac Out for Season
Earlier this week, the Deacons learned that their starting point guard Tiffany Roulhac will sit out the rest of the season as a precautionary measure due to two recent concussions. On December 16, Roulhac went down during the team's game with Radford and had to be taken to the local hospital. After sitting out three games, Roulhac returned for the ACC opener against Maryland and started in the next game against Virginia. In Tallahassee, Roulhac suffered another concussion late in the Wake Forest game against FSU on January 17. Roulhac, who has had several concussions prior to this season, will work with specialists in the field throughout the semester to determine when she can safely return to play. Roulhac is the team leader in assists, totaling 81 for the season, including a season-high 10 against Clemson on January 14. In her last two starts, freshman point guard Camille Collier has averaged 21 points and is likely to continue to lead the Demon Deacons at the point.
