WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Richmond Spiders (11-3) will host the Wake Forest women's basketball team (12-0) on Tuesday, January 6 at 7 p.m. The series with the Spiders is tied 4-4 but Richmond has taken wins in the last two meetings.

The Spiders enter the contest with a recent 83-65 loss to Maryland in Richmond. During the contest Richmond only turned the ball over 13 times and forced 19 Terrapin turnovers including 11 steals. Guard Danielle Bell had the team-high mark of 17 points.

Wake Forest improved to 12-0 on January 1 with a 72-58 win over UNC Wilmington. The Demon Deacons trailed through the first half but quickly gained an advantage in the opening minutes of the second half. Forward Corinne Groves led the game with a career-high 24 points.

Wake Forest is now the only DI school that holds undefeated records for both men's and women's basketball. The No. 4 Wake Forest men recently snapped BYU's 53-game home winning streak and improved to 13-0 with the win. The women team's improved its record to 12-0 with a victory over UNC Wilmington on January 1.

On January 8 the No. 14 Maryland Terrapins will open Atlantic Coast Conference play with the Deacs at Comcast Center. Wake will end the road stretch on January 11 with No. 15 Virginia.
