Full name is Kristen Maureen Shaffer ?celebrated her 21st birthday during preseason practice as she was born October 29, 1979 in Adelphi, Md. ?majoring in Communication with a minor in Spanish ?named to the ACC Honor Roll three straight years ?the daughter of Jim and Nina Shaffer of Woodbridge, Va. ?father, Jim, was a four-year starter in football at the University of Maryland from 1977-81.
