Charette Guthrie is in her first year with the Demon Deacons but has been heavily involved with the basketball scene in the Triad since her prep school days at North Forsyth High School. Guthrie was coached by current Wake Forest men's basketball assistant coach Mike Muse at North Forsyth from 1993-1997 and moved into the collegiate ranks at East Carolina followed by Winston-Salem State, where she was named All-Conference in 2001. Guthrie served as an assistant for WSSU coach Debra Clark from 2001-2002 as she completed her graduate degree in sport management. From 2004-2007 Guthrie coached at several area high schools before joining the staff at Guilford College in 2007 where she served as the recruiting coordinator. In addition to her video coordinator position at Wake Forest, Guthrie is the assistant coach for Chris Paul's CP3 AAU team. |
