WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-- The Wake Forest cross country teams will compete at the NCAA Pre-Nationals this Saturday, October 18 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Approximately 20 runners from both the men's and women's team will compete against 30 other Division I opponents. The men's 8,000 meter gold race begins at 11:40 a.m. while the women's 6,000 meter race starts at 12:55 p.m.

The remaining Demon Deacon runners will head to Greenville, N.C. and compete in the NC Collegiate Championships on Saturday. Wake Forest competed twice on the same course last year, once at the NCAA Pre-Regionals and another time at the NCAA Southeast Regional. The women's team placed first overall in both races.

These will be the Demon Deacons final cross country competitions before hosting the ACC Championships on November 1st on the campus of Wake Forest.
