THIS WEEK: PRE-NATIONALS The Wake Forest men and womenˇ¦s cross country teams head down to Terre Haute, IN to compete in pre-nationals on Oct.19. The womenˇ¦s cross country team is coming off of their third first place finish of the season at the NC Collegiate Championships on Oct. 5. Leading the way for Wake Forest was junior Anna Sherman, who placed fourth with a time of 17:23.80. Junior Denise Hefferin followed with a time of 18:02.31 for ninth-place. In 14th-place was Rachel Mistur, who completed the race with a time of 18:13.42.
The men competed at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 29, claiming the 20th spot overall. Mike Altieri, Brandon Bartholomew and Dave Barrett were the top finishers for the Deacs.
