WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The men's cross country team and two representatives from the women's team will travel to Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., for the Brooks Paul Short Run on Friday, Oct. 3. This event features 12 races and more than 4,000 runners from across the nation. The Division I men's race will start at 11 a.m., followed by the women's race at 11:45 a.m.

In the Paul Short Run, the top five runners from each school will be scored. Greg Billington, Zach Hines, Matt King, Paul Loeser, Tom Morrison and Ben Morrow will be competing for the Deacons in the men's 8-kilometer race, while Cindy Adams and Chelsea Bolton will race in the 6-kilometer women's event.

The women's team is ranked fifth and the men's team 13th in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I Southeast poll. Both teams are coming off a third-place finish at the Virginia Tech Invitational on Sept. 19.

Villanova's men's team and Princeton's women's team are two-time defending champions at the Paul Short Run event and will be two of more than 175 collegiate squads in attendance on Friday.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, the women's team is competing at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Eugene, Ore. Their race is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. ET. The men's team will be back in action on Oct. 17, when they travel to University Park, Pa., for the Penn State Invitational.
