WINSTON-SALEM, NC-- Wake Forest cross country runners Sean Stevens and Michelle Sikes were both named ACC Performer of the Week for their strong efforts at the Mountaineer Open last weekend in Boone, N.C.

Redshirt sophomore Stevens was the top finisher for the men's team which finished second overall at the Mountaineer Open. Stevens, the Louisville, Tenn. native, ran the 5k race in 15:35, good for second place overall.

Sikes, a freshman from Cleveland, Ohio, started her collegiate career by placing second overall in the women's division. Sikes' time of 18:00 led the Deacs to a first-place team finish at the Mountaineer Open.
