GREENVILLE, SC - Wake Forest harriers Chris Estwanik and Nathan Sisco both qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday morning with eighth and ninth place finishes respectively at the NCAA Southeast Region Cross Country Championships. Estwanik, a senior from Dublin, OH, led the Demon Deacon men's team to a third place finish out of 29 teams on the 10,000m course at Furman University and freshman Anne Bersagel led the Demon Deacon women's squad to seventh place out of 26 teams on the 6,000m route.

Estwanik, Sisco and teammates Garick Hill and Ted DeVos each earned all-region honors for finishing in the top 25 of the men's race. Bersagel and Risa Rutland both earned all-region honors for finishing among the first 25 in the women's race.

North Carolina State won both the men's and women's championships. Only the top two teams receive automatic bids to the NCAA Championships, so the Wake Forest teams will wait to see if they receive at-large bids.
